Sunday Worship Services
Experience Worship at Southern Pines UMC
We offer two in-person worship experiences each Sunday and simultaneous live stream. The first service is a Contemporary Service at 9 AM, followed by a Traditional Service at 11 AM. A nursery is available from 8:45 AM to 12 noon for newborns to 2-year-olds.
Holy Communion is served during both services on the first Sunday of each month.
The Contemporary Service includes our Praise Band, with liturgy, song lyrics, and primary Scripture passages presented through an audio-visual display. The Traditional Service, held in the sanctuary at 11 AM, is led by the Chancel Choir and has a more liturgical feel, with hymns playing a significant role. As a church, we value the worship experience for children. A children's sermon is included in both services, and children ages 3 to 7 are invited to participate in Kids' Own Worship (KOW), which begins after the children's moment.
Sunday School
Southern Pines UMC is a family of believers that celebrates all ages of individuals. As such, we have several children, youth, and adult classes which meet on Sunday mornings. We are sure that you will find a place to grow in your faith in one of the classes offered on Sunday mornings.
