Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is an international, non-profit, ecumenical Christian organization whose goal is to provide affordable, decent housing for all of God's children. A local chapter was established in Moore County in the late 1980's. Since that time, more than 100 houses have been built for qualified families.

On May 8, 2004, construction began on the home of our administrative secretary, Nanette Martin. This was a joint project undertaken by our congregation and the Pinehurst UMC. Both churches provided financial support, workers, snacks, and lunches. Through the hard work of many, Nanette and her daughters' dream of home ownership is now a reality.
